Solve most of your training problems without leaving your desk. Embedding Atomic Learning tutorials in your own curriculum materials is simple. You can use this feature to build your own customised competency checks, training modules and cross-curricula materials and provide help via email.

Here is an example which shows a Twenty Minute Skill Builder in Word 2003 but the same concept can be applied to any area where skills need building.

15 Minute Skill Builder on Styles and Tabs (Word 2003)

20 Minute Skill Builder on Outlook 2003

Just add the following URL to your web pages, office documents or email and change the key number to create your own customised resources. It's as simple as that. Every tutorial in the library has a unique URL.

http://movies.atomiclearning.com/uk/almovie?key=12845
The 4/5 digit code identifies the tutorial.

You can find the tutorial's unique ID number next to it's title in the tutorial listings or by using the search facility.

Sal

Dear Sal,

I'm flat out fighting viruses but there's no need to wait for me to come over, just click here:

or for a beginner's course in Word start here:

And remember - always ask AL before you ask the help desk.

Your Pal

Al

Al at the help desk has a standard email and just changes the 4/5 digit code by looking at a chart on the wall or searching Atomic Learning. Easy!

Who can use it?

The Atomic Learning licence includes unlimited access for all your staff, students and their parents.

Your administrative and clerical staff are included at no extra cost.

Unlimited home use is included in with a site licence.

What does it cost?

AL can help

Top of page

Atomic Learning is purchased as an annual subscription which provides unlimited access to the entire library and all updates.

When purchased as a school site licence, the price is based on total FTE staff and student population and is very much less than the individual price. Ask for a quote and free trial for your organisation, you will be surprised how cost effective Atomic Learning is.

If you subscribe to a site licence, your administrative staff, clerical staff and parents are included in the licence without being counted as part of the whole school population. Home use is included for staff, students and parents.

There is a minimum site licence but small schools can subscribe as part of a cluster of schools to benefit from better pricing.

For larger organisations with licences of over 5,000 users, the per capita price reduces as the population increases.

Contact bjones@atomiclearning.co.uk for a quote for your organisation.

Do I pay for updates?

AL can help

Top of page

The library is updated every 45 days to include the latest software. Between 500 to 1000 new tutorials are added in each update. Updates are scheduled in response to requests from users.

During your annual subscription, you will automatically get access to all upgrades at no extra charge. A regular newsletter will advise you of updates and they are immediately available to all users.

The Atomic Learning Philosophy

AL can help

Top of page

Atomic Learning is a just-in-time solution to software skills development and training which is considerably more effective and economical than traditional methods.

All your staff and students have full-time access to training whenever and wherever they need it without waiting for help, without having to attend workshops, without the need to travel to other locations and without expensive teacher relief.

Training is provided at the point of need in a way that is easy to follow, easy to remember and under the learner’s control. Improve productivity and reduce frustration by letting AL solve your software problems.

If your school is too small to have permanent IT support staff, you can have exactly the same quality of software training and support as larger schools.

Most schools don’t have staff that are expert in programmes such as Photoshop or Dreamweaver but Atomic Learning makes that expertise affordable and available to all your community every day of the year. You will have the assistance of software experts that are always on hand in a way that was not possible in the past.

Atomic Learning helps to change the attitudes of your staff and students by making them more self-reliant and more able to help themselves when using software.

Why send one or two of your staff to a 3 day seminar when for the same cost you can provide training for all your staff and students for a whole year.

What are the benefits of large scale licensing?

AL can help

Top of page

A large organisational licence offers significant benefits compared to individual school licences.

  • The per capita cost is lower and the minimum school fee is avoided for small schools.
  • There is consistency of resources across all schools when staff and students transfer.
  • System wide training can be provided to maximise the benefits of Atomic Learning for all users.
  • Resources developed by individuals using embedded links to Atomic Learning tutorials can be shared across the whole system.
  • Significant savings can be made if some traditional face to face training is replaced by or supplemented with Atomic Learning.
  • Staff can be trained to make customised tutorials to provide training in specialised software used within the organisation.

Additional bonuses
